Since 2000 International project management

LinguaVox provides technology translation services for technology companies, SaaS providers, hardware manufacturers, startups and product teams. We manage multilingual projects in more than 150 languages, combining specialist translators, project management, terminology control and structured review workflows according to what each assignment requires. Since 2000, we have worked with organisations across the technology sector on projects ranging from single product documentation files to large-scale multilingual localisation programmes.

Technology content has to maintain technical clarity and a consistent product voice across a range of content types that rarely sit in the same stylistic register. API documentation, a user-facing help article and a marketing product page are each written for a different reader and need different treatment, even when they describe the same feature. Interface consistency, placeholder handling, brand terminology and the pace of product release cycles all shape how technology translation is planned and managed.

Specialist translators with technology expertise

We select translators by language combination, subject matter and document type. A translator working on software documentation or API references needs different preparation from one handling a white paper, a product marketing page or a regulatory compliance brief. Our project managers assess these requirements before the assignment is made and apply the client's approved style guide, product glossary and any market-specific terminology preferences from the outset.

Where translated content will be published in a product, deployed in a SaaS environment, sent to a reseller or used in a support platform, the workflow and review level are set accordingly before work begins.

Documents we translate for technology

Typical projects include software and product documentation, technical guides, API and developer references, white papers, support articles, knowledge bases, release notes, product data sheets, training material and website content for technology products. We also work with structured string files, InDesign-formatted documents, PowerPoint presentations and multilingual documentation packages.

For clients with recurring translation needs — product releases, updated documentation or new market expansions — we maintain glossaries, translation memories and style instructions so that product names, UI terms and technical descriptions stay consistent across content types, releases and languages.

Quality workflows and ISO-certified processes

LinguaVox operates under ISO 9001 and ISO 17100 certified processes for quality management and professional translation. For published, customer-facing and compliance-relevant technology documentation, independent bilingual revision by a second qualified linguist, terminology checks and final project management review help maintain quality before delivery.

For high-volume, lower-risk content where machine translation post-editing is agreed as the appropriate workflow, we apply full post-editing under ISO 18587. A lighter post-editing level is only used when explicitly agreed for that specific content, and is treated as a separate, lower service level. Customer-facing documentation and regulatory compliance content are normally handled by human translation with revision.

Related services for technology companies

Technology projects frequently require services across product, support, legal and marketing content. Clients may also need technical translation services for hardware and engineering documentation, or software translation services for UI strings, resource files and help centres. For marketing websites, landing pages and SEO content, website translation services are available. We can also arrange interpreting services for international sales meetings, partner events and product conferences. For other sectors, see sector-specific translation services.

Interpreting and audiovisual services for technology

For product launches, partner conferences, sales meetings, technical presentations and international events, we can coordinate interpreting in the relevant language combinations, subject to availability. We can also organise voice-over, subtitling, transcription and audiovisual localisation for product demo videos, training content and corporate media.

When requesting interpreting for a technology assignment, it helps to specify the mode — consecutive, simultaneous, liaison or remote — the date, location, subject matter and any preparatory material such as product documentation or presentation slides.

Confidentiality and project handling

Technology documentation frequently includes pre-release product information, proprietary architecture details, unreleased feature specifications and confidential partnership terms. We manage all projects with professional discretion and work under non-disclosure agreements or specific data-handling instructions when the project requires it.

Frequently asked questions

Do you translate API documentation and developer guides?

Yes. We translate API references, developer documentation and SDK guides, keeping endpoint names, parameter descriptions, code examples and error messages consistent with the product's UI terminology. We work with developers to agree on how code-adjacent terms should be handled before translation begins.

Can you keep terminology consistent across product, support and marketing content?

Yes. We build a single product glossary and apply it across all content types — documentation, help articles, UI strings and marketing pages — so that feature names, product terms and technical descriptions read the same way throughout the user journey.

How do you handle rapid product update cycles?

We maintain a translation memory for each product, so that when a new release updates an existing document, only the new or changed content needs to be translated. Previously approved wording is reused automatically, which keeps turnaround fast and content consistent across versions.

Can you localise content for specific regional markets?

Yes. We localise technology content for regional audiences, adapting terminology, date and number formats, and cultural references as needed, while keeping the product voice consistent with the source. Tell us whether you need European or Latin American Spanish, Simplified or Traditional Chinese, and so on, and we will set the project up accordingly.

Can you work with our existing style guide and terminology?

Yes. Send us your style guide, approved glossary and any previous translations at the start of the project. We apply them throughout and flag any gaps or conflicts for your approval before they become inconsistencies in the delivered content.
